Meeting Gaz de France Paris Saint-Denis International athletics Golden League Championship |
|
| The IAAF Golden League is an annual series of athletics meetings organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The series was formed to increase the profile of the leading athletics competitions. Athletes (in selected events) who win their event at all six meetings take a share of a USD 1 million jackpot. In addition, events at Golden League meetings scored more Grand Prix points than other Grand Prix meetings. The legendary Saint Denis track is the setting for incomparable feats and high drama each year as the best sprinters, throwers and jumpers strive to achieve the impossible. World records have been set, world titles won and battles among top athletes undertaken at Saint Denis, which has witnessed some of the most glorious moments of modern athletics and truly spectacular performances. With no other major athletics events scheduled this year, you can be sure that the best athletes will all converge on the Stade de France. There are no fewer than 18 disciplines on the cards, with the sprint and middle-distance races expected to be the highlights of the event. | |
